Legal Racing

San Diego has a great program going on designed to prevent street racing by having people take it to the track.  The site is http://www.racelegal.com and what they do is turn Qualcomm Stadium into a 1/8 mile drag strip that only charges $15 for people under 30, $20 for over 30 and $5 for spectators.  This is much cheaper than a local drag strip and affordable for teens.  Racelegal is a non-profit organization that is run solely to reduce street racing and the fatalities that occur as a result.  I hope other places follow their example and start up similar programs.  The way to stop this problem is not punishment as it will continue to go on like it has for decades regardless of how strict they make the laws.
