Though not very well known, the GTR holds many prestigious supercar records.  The GTR720 variant featuring a 720HP Chevy V8 set world records in 2006 with the most impressive being a 0-100-0 MPH time of 9.4 seconds.  Other records include a 0-60mph of 2.6 seconds, 0-100mph of 5.3 seconds, and 100-0mph time of 3.6 seconds.  To get an idea just how fast these times are, check out the tables below comparing the GTR to some of the world's finest supercars.  The GTR is a kit car with a price of $89,000 plus a small block Chevy V8 and Porsche drivetrain.  The total cost is somewhere under $200,000 making the GTR a relatively great bargain.
