I’m all for Lotus’ expansion into a full lineup of performance cars but I was hoping they would leave the formula for the Elise alone. Less weight and make it even lighter. Unfortunately not as the new Elise tips the scales at 2,409 pounds. Not heavy by any means, but 400 pounds heavier than the outgoing model. In a time when every one seems to be going lighter, why is Lotus of all companies, doing the opposite.
