The idea behind the Iconic GTR was to take the design of a classic
muscle car and combine it with modern technology. Its look is
heavily influenced by the Shelby Cobra and like the Cobra, it features a
very high power to weight ratio. It weighs only a few hundred
pounds more than a Lotus Elise but features an
800hp v8 for an absurd 724hp/ton. To keep all that
power in check, the GTR features an F1 derived racing suspension
boasting a torsional rigidity approaching 80% of a standard F1 car.
The result? A top speed of over 200mph and 0-60 well under 4
seconds. Only 100 will be produced with a steep price tag of
$600,000.
