Gumpert’s previous effort, the Apollo, was acclaimed for his performance but always ragged on for its looks. Gumpert set out to improve on that with the Tornante and I’m not sure they really succeeded. Sure it looks smoother and more refined but I would say calling it pretty is a stretch. In fact, I prefer the Apollo’s raw unapologetically agressive look if just because I’m not really sure what the Tornante is trying to be.
