The C-Metisse is a very stylish sedan that will turn heads at every corner.  It's standout feature is 4 gull-wing doors that allow easy access to a cabin and just plain look cool.  What might be more impressive is the technology on the inside.

It boasts an economical 208 HP HDi V6 diesel engine, coupled with an acclaimed Diesel Particulate Filter System, and two separate electric motors on the rear wheels, capable of developing a massive 295 lb-ft of additional torque.  Power is put to the front wheels via a 6 speed automatic transmission.  Yes you did read that right.  With the gas engine powering the front, and the two electric motors powering the rear wheels, the C-Metisse offers a unique way to achieve AWD.    The C-Metisse to features a "boost mode" where under heavy acceleration, the electronic motors activate to provide immediate torque.

The result is a 0-62MPH of 6.2 seconds with a top speed of 155 MPH and an impressive 50-75MPH time of 4.2 seconds.  How does such a large sedan get such numbers  with relatively little power?   The C-Metisse features a carbon fiber body and other weight savings to achieve a curb weight of only 3086 lbs.  These weight savings don't only benefit performance but economy.  Around town the new concept car can run in Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) mode and can achieve up to 45 MPG.
