It's not wants on the outside but what's on the inside that counts. This could not be more true with the BMW M5. To the non-ethusiast, the M5 looks just like a normal 5 series sedan. The enthusiast knows that what sits inside the hood is an engine capable of embarassing most 2 door sports cars. The new M5 is the only V10 powered sedan in production. The engine revs all the way up to 8250 RPM and produces 507 HP and 383 lbs. of torque. The 7-speed SMG transmission shifts 20% quicker than the previous one and features 11 program options ranging from fully manual shifting to fully automatic shifting. Similar to the latest M3, the M5 features exclusive gills incorporated into the front fenders. The exclusive leather interior features sports seats. Other styling touches, from the instrument cluster to the center console and the steering wheel are all unique to the M5. Even the optional head-up display is M-specific.2005 BMW M5 Specifications
