The N420 features a unique exhaust, upgraded suspension, and comes in at 60 lbs. lighter achieved through the application of carbon fibre.

On the outside, wider sills combine perfectly with a carbon fibre splitter, side strakes and diffuser, while bold 10-spoke diamond turned alloy wheels complete with gloss black finish, black mesh vents and 'Graphitic' tailpipe finishers complete the co-ordinated look. A further distinctive feature is the availability of a new range of optional Aston Martin 'Race Collection' paint schemes.

2011 Aston Martin freshens up the DB9

The DB9 gets minor changes for 2011 because well why mess with a good thing? The front grill has been redesigned and now features mesh inserts on the bottom. New headlight bezels, re-styled sills, silver brake calipers, 20-spoke diamond turned alloy wheels and clear rear light lenses complete the external revisions.

The DB9's passive damping system has been replaced by a new Adaptive Damping System (ADS), which offers enhanced ride comfort together with sharper handling when switched to Sport mode. Due to this, the DB9 Sport Pack upgrade has now been discontinued.

With a 520 HP V12, the Vanquish S can reach above 200 MPH. Compared to the normal Vanquish, the S features a revised steering geometry that provides a 20% quicker response, allowing the driver to apply a reduced input for required steering response. This enables the driver to be more precise with inputs - especially on winding roads - and more accurate feedback from the chassis. The Sports Dynamics suspension, steering and braking package is now standard on the Vanquish S. This includes stiffer springs and dampers and shorter steering arms. Engine enhancements include new cylinder heads with fully machined inlet ports and combustion chambers to improve airflow, revised engine mapping and new fuel injectors.

How do you improve a succesful sports car? The easy answer is stuff 4 more cylinders under the hood and Aston did just that with the V12 Vantage? They took the same 510 HP V12 from the DBS and mated it with a convential 6speed manual to achieve a 0-60mph of 4.1 seconds and top speed of 190mph. To differentiate it from the V8 version, the V12 model features a wider stance, more agressive hood, and carbon fiber air dams. Production is limited to 1,000 units with a pricetag around $250,000.

This roadster is destined to be a classic. Its smooth lines and beautiful curves give it that perfect look where you can't pick out anything you could possibly improve. Even with the top up, when most convertibles look kind of odd, the Vantage makes it look like the top was always supposed to be there. Removing that top takes only 18 seconds and can be done at cruising speeds up to 30MPH. Beauty is nothing without speed and so under the hood sits a 4.3 liter V8 putting out 380 HP and 302 lbs. of torque making for a 0-60MPH sprint of 4.9 seconds and top speed of 175 MPH.

The Aston Martin Rapide concept is a four-door, high performance coupe of remarkable grace and poise. Like all Aston Martins, the Rapide is a superlative performer. Powered by the V12 engine from the DB9 but uprated to 480 brake horsepower mated to a ZF Touchtronic gearbox, the car has performance equivalent to the DB9, although the gearing has been adjusted to suit the longer wheelbase and more refined ride. Carbon brakes and callipers, a first for Aston Martin, give the Rapide immense stability and stopping power. "A sports car is not simply characterised by the number of doors," says Dr Bez, "so a four door car can still have the looks and performance of a sports car and the Rapide is certainly true to its name, providing an unrivalled way of taking four adults on a long-distance journey along any type of road."

The Rapide is serious about the business of driving, a chassis that is equally at home amongst winding back roads, mountain passes or high-speed carriageways. It has the expertise to devour trans-continental distances while leaving the driver feeling fresh and alert, however far or fast. The rich exhaust note is intended to be heard echoing off the sheer rock walls of the Alps, the steering demands to be taken to the switchbacks of Austria's Grossglockner Pass, while the engine begs to be opened up along a stretch of German Autobahn. Although the power delivery is unrelenting, this is also a car designed for every day use, with ample space for a golfing weekend for three in Scotland, a lengthy trans-American journey or even a trip to a Bordeaux vineyard, with space to bring back 20 bottles of wine.
