Mitsubishi improves the Evo even more with its MR edition.  A slightly more powerful engine produces 276 HP(up 5) and 286 (up 13) lbs of torque.  While this may not seem like much, when combined with the MR's 6 speed transmission, overall driveability is greatly improved as midrange power is improved and the engine revs more freely up to redline.  Other improvements include an Active Center Differential with 3 settings for Gravel, Tarmac, and Snow which distribute torque differently between the front and rear axles for optimal performane.  1/4 mile will be in the low 13s with a mid-4 second 0-60 time.  All this performance comes at a bargain price of around $35,000
