Chrysler Crossfire
The merge with Mercedes has meant good things for Chrysler. Mercedes influence is most noticeable in the Crossfire which is based on the SLK platform. The Crossfire is the first Chrysler in a while that can turn heads as it goes down the road. The top of the line SRT-6 features a supercharged 3.2 liter V6 producing 330 HP making it capable of a 5.1 second 0-60 time and 13.5 second 1/4 mile. Not bad times but its $45,000 price tag is a bit steep considering you could get better performance from a Corvette or M3. Oddly, the SRT-6 is only available with an automatic transmission even though the regular Crossfire is also available with a 6 speed manual. Something that must be changed if the crossfire is to compete with the other high performance cars in its price range.
