The hardtop version of the Boxster will feature a 295 HP Flat 6 and reach a top speed of 171 MPH.  Power is put to the ground via the Boxster S' 6 speed manual transmission with a 5 speed tiptronic as an option.  Also available is Porsche Active Suspension Management which allows to choose between comfort or performance at the push of a button  Some may consider it the poor man's 911 but at an expected base price of $58,900, I don't think poor is the correct adjective.
