2011 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Carbon Pictures and Specifications

This limited edition Corvette slots between the Z06 and ZR1. Created to be the ultimate Vette for the track, the Z06 Carbon combines the lightweight N/A engine of the Z06 with the brembo brakes, Magnetic Selective Ride Control, and carbon fiber body panels from the ZR1. According to Tadge Juechter, Corvette Chief Engineer, "For technical tracks like Laguna Seca, the Z06 Carbon could shave up to three seconds off the Z06 lap time."

The Corvette Z06 Carbon will be available in two colors: Inferno Orange and the all-new Supersonic Blue. Black headlamps and mirrors, a ZR1-style body color spoiler, body color door handles, carbon fiber raised hood, and black carbon fiber rockers and splitter enhance the Z06's dynamic design and reduce mass and aerodynamic lift. For track events, customers can also install the Euro-styled racing numbers that come with each car.

An optional Z07 performance package that includes the mechanical upgrades introduced on the Z06 Carbon can be added to a regular 2011 Z06. This package also includes Competition Gray 20-spoke wheels and all the chassis and cooling upgrades.

  2. Not to pick nits but I harbor lingering concerns about limiting this special Carbon addition to the painted gray wheels. Yea, to quote others, perhaps it does appear “menacing”, if that effect is what one desires for their $100k vehicle. Painted wheels would greatly lessen appearance maintenance too. That being said, and as a long time Corvette owner, I would prefer the polished/chrome combo option, especially on vehicles with darker exterior colors. My 2 cents. Robert

    • I agree the painted wheels come off as a little “cheap” for such an expensive vehicle. What kind of corvette do you own?
