2008 Callaway C16 Corvette Convertible
Want the power of the Z06 with the open-air thrill of a convertible? Look no further than callaway's version of the C6 convertible. The standard version is equipped with a 6.0 liter 560 HP Supercharged V8 while the performance package bumps the ponies up to 616. The result is a 0-60 of 3.5 seconds, 1/4 mile of 11.2 seconds, and top speed over 200 MPH. Possibly most impressive is the 18 city/28 highway mpg rating.
Inside, the C16 convertible's cockpit is completely retooled in fine German leather and Alcantara, featuring seats with a choice of harnessing styles manufactured for Callaway by Recaro. Door sill panels, steering wheel and passenger dash area also carry signature Callaway badging. Each automobile is serialized and identified by its build plaque. Each C16 convertible is built to order. Clients choose body and top color and interior appointments to individual taste.
The open-air experience will cost you however. A loaded C16 goes for $128,765 which is over $50,000 more than a standard Z06. For that price you could afford both a Z06 and C6 Convertible but you won't get the exclusivity the Callaway badge brings.
