For 2005, the GTO receives a slightly more aggressive facelift.
More important is the changes made under the hood. Replacing the 350
HP LS1 engine, is a new 400 HP LS2 with 395 lbs of torque. The added
power should improve 0-60 to under 5 seconds and 1/4 mile in the mid to low
13s. Displacement is also increased up to 6.0 liters and Pontiac plans
to make this well known with 6.0 badges on the back and fender in the same
fashion the original 1964 GTO had.
