And it means business! It’s more powerful, lighter, and faster than its predecessors (and most other cars out there on the road). Under the hood is a 640hp V10 delivering 600 lbs. of torque making it the torquiest naturally engine in the world. It’s also 100 lbs. lighter giving it the best power to weight ratio of any Viper yet. More impressively, it has a better ratio than the Lamborghini Aventador and Chevrolet ZR1.
Well this is certainly different and unexpected. More surprising is that Lamborghini will actually make it available for sale. In order to create the purest and most radical form of open road motoring, Lamborghini has not only removed the roof but the windshield as well. To lower weight even further, air conditioning and navigation have been removed along with extensive use of carbon fiber including Lamborghini’s new “Carbonskin” technology.
While I’m not yet sold on the looks, the numbers for this car are absolutely insane! A 740 horsepower V12 sits under the hood making 509 lb-ft of torque which is good for a 0-60mph of 3.1 seconds, 0-124mph of 8.5 seconds and a top speed of 211mph. Even more impressive, it completed a lap around the Fiorano circuit in 1’23″ which is a second faster than the Enzo making it the fastest road car ever built by Ferrari.
